What We Do

The mission of KHRC's Rental Compliance and Housing Preservation Division is to oversee project performance for developments that have received an allocation of Housing Tax Credits, Private Activity Bonds, and/or HOME Rental Housing Development, Tax Credit Assistance Program and Credit Exchange Program dollars. Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of policy, procedures and processes, the Rental Compliance Division provides enhanced asset management assistance and monitoring oversight. The compliance team is also involved in budget analyses, reserve draws, leasing and marketing, monthly and annual reporting, project stabilization, project monitoring through onsite reviews, training and technical assistance, conflict resolution, tenant complaints and other work as necessary to ensure compliance with federal and state laws.

Who We Serve

KHRC's Rental Compliance Division helps developers, managers and syndicators to understand and apply complicated federal rules correctly and consistently. In addition, our staff works to protect tenants’ civil and state rights through mediation and workout plans.

As an owner, you're the person responsible for the development, construction and ongoing compliance. We value you as a partner. Our compliance team will provide you the information your staff needs to ensure continued success throughout the entire compliance period. A manager's responsibility starts long before the construction is complete. We want your property to succeed. We strive to be customer oriented providing on- and off-site compliance, asset management and MITAS assistance, and your success is our goal.
